About HFactor

At HFactor, we are dedicated to optimizing product designs, user experiences, and work environments by focusing on one core principle: understanding people.

Founded by an expert with over 15 years of experience across industries like industrial ergonomics, product design analysis, and user research, HFactor offers specialized consulting services that drive innovation and human-centered design. We believe that creating products, services, and workplaces that put people first leads to better solutions, greater satisfaction, and ultimately, a more sustainable future.

The Practice

We look at people, technology, workflows, and organizational constraints together. That broader view helps teams discover opportunities, refine concepts, and evaluate solutions in the conditions where they will be used.

Engagements range from a focused assessment to sustained research and human factors guidance.

The Founder

Mohammad (Mo) Jeelani brings more than 15 years of experience across research, design, human factors, and ergonomics. His career has spanned industrial workplaces, agricultural and construction vehicles, enterprise software, and emerging technologies, including augmented reality, wearable devices, and AI-enabled experiences. This breadth informs his approach: understanding both the people using a product and the larger system of workflows, technologies, and organizational constraints around them.

His experience includes human factors and ergonomics consulting with Auburn Engineers, supporting vehicle development at CNH Industrial, advancing XR research at Magic Leap, and guiding launch readiness for AI wearables at Google. Across these roles, he has helped teams uncover user needs, define use cases, evaluate physical and digital interactions, benchmark product performance, and establish research and measurement programs to guide development.

Mohammad’s work connects early exploration with practical product decisions. He has led mixed-methods studies, supported concept development and prototyping, translated findings into requirements and design guidance, and developed approaches for tracking user experience across product iterations. His experience also includes software interface redesign, workplace assessments, training, and implementation support.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from Auburn University, a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Central Florida, and an MFA in Design Thinking from Radford University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), a Certified Human Factors Professional (CHFP), and has published and presented research on human factors, ergonomics, and emerging technology.

Through HFactor, Mohammad brings these perspectives together to help organizations understand people, navigate complex questions, and develop better products, experiences, and work systems. His approach centers on understanding the system, learning from the people within it, and exploring and validating solutions early.
